Most product pairings come down to four or five real differentiators, not the long feature checklists in vendor brochures. Each comparison below covers what the products are for, where they overlap, where they differ, and which kind of team each tends to suit.
All comparisons
| Comparison | Category | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Anaqua vs CPA Global (Clarivate) | IP management | AQX and PATTSY WAVE vs IPfolio, FoundationIP and Inprotech, plus renewal services. |
| Everlaw vs Relativity | eDiscovery | Cloud-only Everlaw vs RelativityOne / Relativity Server, including generative-AI review. |
| ContractPodAi vs Ironclad | Contract management | AI-first Leah vs Ironclad's workflow-led digital contracting. |
| Clio vs MyCase | Practice management | Two popular cloud suites for small and mid-size firms. |
| Casetext vs Westlaw: what changed | Legal research | Casetext was retired in 2025; where CoCounsel lives now and alternatives. |
How these comparisons are written
- No scores or star ratings. We do not test every product hands-on, so we do not publish numeric scores.
- No invented prices. Most legal software is quote-based and list prices change; we describe the pricing model instead.
- Dated. Each page shows when it was last reviewed. Ownership changes (such as Clio buying vLex, or Thomson Reuters retiring Casetext) are noted.
